Job DescriptionVTC Insurance is looking for an energetic and dedicated individual who will be responsible for providing support to the Controller by maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions. This person will support the departments goal of enhancing internal controls and documenting procedures. We offer a dynamic work environment, competitive compensation, excellent benefits and commitment to work/life balance.Benefits401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceResponsibilitiesPrioritize projects, possess attention to detail, achieve service standards, and meet deadlines.Responsible for following procedures and unified processes, constantly achieving positive outcomes for both internal personnel and external customers alike, ensuring extraordinary customer satisfaction and utmost departmental efficiency.Collect, transact, reconcile and record insurance carrier commission statements and payments.Responsible for manual processing of statements.Responsible for obtaining statements from carrier websites.Review, research and resolve commission discrepancies.Coordinate with direct bill cash receipts team to reconcile DB receipts against statements received.Leverage software automation for process efficiencies.Must be proficient in Excel and be able to adapt to and understand various accounting systems.Some administrative and Vendor Payable duties will also be included.Secure and properly handle all private/sensitive agency, employee, and customer information (medical, social security numbers, drivers licenses, financials, etc.) always following agency protocol.Maintain compliance with all company policies.RequirementsAssociates Degree preferredExcellent organization, planning, and prioritization skillsHigh level of computer proficiencyWork equally well independently and as a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, problem solving and judgment skillsSelf-starter and results-oriented team player with a constant focus on improving processAbility to work efficiently with little direction in fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of Vertafore AMS 360 management system is preferredCompany DescriptionFounded in 1957, we remain committed to delivering an exceptional customer service experience while providing our clients with customizable insurance and risk management products.
