Job Description:
At Michigan Farm Bureau (MFB), Michigans largest general farm
organization, we dedicate ourselves to serving the needs and
protecting the interests of our members within the agricultural
community. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented MACP
(Michigan Auto Claims Placement) Subrogation Claims Representative
to join our dynamic insurance team. This role is crucial for
managing and recovering automotive claim payments from third
parties who are liable for accidents or damages. The successful
candidate will play a key role in defending the economic interests
of our members by ensuring that claims are handled efficiently and
that recoveries are maximized. Review and evaluate claims to
identify recovery potential and initiate the subrogation process.
Communicate effectively with third parties, attorneys, and other
insurers to negotiate and settle recovery claims. Coordinate with
internal claims adjusters to obtain necessary claim information and
updates. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of subrogation
activities and financial recoveries. Prepare and present detailed
reports on the status of subrogation efforts and outcomes to senior
management. Stay informed of changes in state laws and regulations
that affect subrogation rights and procedures. Participate in
arbitration or litigation processes as required to facilitate
recovery of damages. Strong negotiation skills Ability to analyze
and interpret insurance policies and legal documents Effective
communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in the use of
claims management software Good organizational and time management
