An immediate full-time position is available for a Administrative Document Specialist with experience in construction operations for residential building design in Troy, MI or Chandler, AZ. This position requires the candidate to report to Project Managers and the Director of Design and follow a standard document control SOP. The candidate must be skilled with a construction administration system, such as ProCore and BIM 360 to submit and track permit drawings and shop drawings within the Design Department of Z Modular.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in modular construction, automated fabrication systems, parametric design software, and developing alternative approaches to the design and construction industry. This position requires the candidate to be very organized with great people skills; and to understand design-build processes with a superior attention to detail.

Must-have Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-5 years in construction coordination operations
  • Construction Management, Engineering/Architecture, or PMP
  • ProCore and BIM 360 or similar construction administration systems
  • Liaison with Project Managers and Designers
  • Skilled with Excel, Word, Acrobat, MS Project with basic Revit knowledge
  • Experience reading construction drawings, shop drawings & details
  • Familiarity with building codes
  • Understanding of construction sequences and needs of various trades
  • Very organized and detail oriented
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
  • Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy Duties & Responsibilities:

    The candidate will oversee the Document Control Procedures for the Design Department:
    • Manage BIM 360 and ProCore-based document control, shop drawings, & scheduling
    • Review drawings for accurate revision control
    • Work with PMs and Designer to ensure milestones are met
    • Prepare modular package release schedules and reports
    • Track reviews and release drawings for fabrication
