Job Description:
The Proposal Writer researches, develops, and writes material to
support responses to requests for proposals (RFP) and marketing
materials. He/she coordinates with relevant members of the team as
needed to ensure all details are correct and complete. He/she
ensures all documents reflect the RFP and corporate standards and
will assist the corporation in achieving sales goals and/or
marketing initiatives.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Collaborate with Proposal Managers/Sales Director/Client Service
Manager to develop textual and graphical sections along with themes
to support the win strategy.* Lead development of written
volumes/sections. Manage incoming content from contributing authors
and/or Subject Matter Experts.* Lead and/or assist Proposal Team in
the selection process of projects and r--sum--s, Use tools and
processes to sort, compare, and analyze large amounts of data to
support decision-making processes.* Prepare annotated outlines and
section layouts to ensure assigned section(s) will meet proposal
requirements and win strategy.* Write first draft through final
version of various sections of proposals, including management
approach, organizational structure, staffing/resources, health and
safety, procurement, small business, and company experience
sections.* Assume a lead role in responding to Pink/Red Team
comments and developing final draft of document.* Provide QA of
final copy to ensure accuracy.* Provide training in Proposal
Writing Best Practices to proposal and technical staff, including
brainstorming layouts and text development.* Develop/write
collateral materials for internal clients.* Research and write
project summaries and resumes for Corporate databases.* Assist in
writing marketing brochures and Q&E statements. Work with
appropriate technical staff to gather up-to-date information on
subject of brochure or Q&E.* Research, develop and write
Corporate press releases for publication in external publications
and Weston Intranet/Reporter Wire. Work with Client Service
Managers or other originators to research and gather information.
Obtain legal and client approvals for press releases. Submit final
drafts for required approval and signatures.Job
Requirements:PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Previous experience in a
business development capacity, preferably for government services*
Established record of maintaining strong business relationships*
Strong proposal writing skills
