Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for contributing to the sales of MathWorks
sophisticated engineering products; designing and developing
sophisticated engineering product models and simulations to
demonstrate the application of MathWorks products in automotive
control systems; developing technical engineering demonstrations of
MathWorks modeling, simulation and analysis software to support
sales activities; building data analytics integration models and
analytics systems to perform customer experience analysis and
analyze usage data to support data-driven sales decisions;
performing assessment and strategy planning for business
development; providing technical and subject matter expertise to
clients to create an awareness of MathWorks solutions, scope
technical engagement projects, and coordinate multinational
technical deployments of MATLAB and Simulink solutions; serving as
a change agent to guide technology experts and enhance their
understanding of the business impact of MATLAB and Simulink
solutions on critical advancements, such as electrification and
autonomous driving in the automotive industry; accelerating
technological advancements by identifying business critical
customer projects and leading the effort to provide relevant MATLAB
and Simulink solutions; identifying and addressing gaps in
solutions; and delivering customer-facing expertise, training, and
guidance. Requires frequent travel and on short notice. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two
(2) years of experience designing, developing, and testing embedded
automotive systems. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering and six (6) years of experience in job offered or six
(6) years of experience designing, developing, and testing embedded
automotive systems. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise developing automotive embedded systems
using Model Based Design with MATLAB and Simulink, including
performing system and software requirements analysis, simulation,
algorithm development, production code generation, verification and
validation, and target ECU vehicle testing according to safety
standards -- ISO 26262 and IEC 61508. Demonstrated expertise collecting and analyzing technical
customer support evaluations; and developing technical product
marketing presentations of Simulink and MATLAB-based modeling
systems and proof of concept models to integrate software tools
into customers product development workflow in the automotive
embedded systems domain. Demonstrated expertise conducting Voice of the Customer/Client
sessions, including developing business case analysis and workflows
to drive internal organizational alignment on new product offerings
and inform conversations with internal stakeholders on strategic
marketing and sales planning. Demonstrated expertise developing long term technical and
business strategies for the adoption of Model Based Design in the
automotive industry by leveraging mathematical simulation software
and automotive development processes. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Graduate
