BorgWarner is currently looking for a "dynamic, results driven"
individual to join the Aftermarket Team as a Facilities
Facilities Engineer / Facility Management Job Specification
- Monitor the effectiveness of implementation the appropriate
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) management system
(Policies, Process, Procedures and Guides) and provide for their
updating in line with changes in laws, regulations and corporate
- Review corporate activities and ensure compliance with ESG
Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
- Plans and implements the design of plants, offices, and
production lines in order to maximize the use of available space
and improve production efficiency
- Estimates costs related to layout design, including equipment
and materials, labor, etc. and monitors the construction
- Ensures that established efficiency and safety targets are
- Manages on site Health and Safety, near miss and incident
reporting ( responsible for lost work days, days without incident,
- Conducts periodic inspection of work in progress and advice
construction supervisors and contractors on interpretation pf plans
- Inspects material, workmanship & architectural, mechanical &
electrical installation for conformance to plans and
- Maintain and manage current building layout and infrastructure
required to run the business, building HVAC, Electrical
- As the EMS management representative must ensure that an EMS
compliant with ISO-14001 requirements is implemented and
maintained, and must provide regular reports on its performance to
executives, emphasizing continual improvement
- Participate in New projects and guide the team on New equipment
layout and location
- Manage internal/external facilities work (electrical, plumbing,
- Maintain and manage Delphi Asset and Capex Budget
- Manage movement of equipment and processes in the plant in line
with project team needs
- Asses building support equipment life and provide/manage plan
for keeping all equipment up to date and to the building code
- Work with IE team for improvement in layout based on lean
- General management of systems
- Building security and code management
- Building cleaning services
- Shop coat management
- Carpet cleaning
- Monitor government benefit programs to ensure we are
- Manage external contracts for services related to building
(landscape, snow, etc.)
Must complete at least a bachelor's degree program. Bachelor's
degree programs in civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial or
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial
engineering. At least 3 years of experience as a facilities
engineer or in a similar role. 3+ years of Experience with AutoCAD,
and MS Office. Knowledge of the building process and construction
principles. 3+ years of Cost Estimating, Construction Management,
Facility Management, Compliance and HVAC Systems. Knowledge of
relevant regulations and building codes. Good verbal and written
communication skills. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Project management skills.
