Mission

• The Functional Safety Quality Engineer's mission is to ensure the respect of the Functional Safety development processes. He is responsible of the Functional Safety Assessment. He support/perform Functional Safety Audits. Responsibilities
  
  Technical missions
  • Perform/support the Functional Safety Audits
  • Perform the Project Safety Assessment Reports (based on own evaluation of project status and based on the inputs from the Safety Audits and Design Reviews)
  • Reports the results of the Safety Assessment to the Quality Director and the site Quality Leader
  • Participate to the Design Reviews
  • Support/Review the Project Safety Case documentation
  • Supports the definition of processes compliant with the Valeo Safety Methodology
  • Support / generate / monitor Functional Safety KPIs
  • Support projects escalation for Functional Safety aspects General missions
    
    Active role in Valeo Safety Culture development
    
    Skills
    • Engineer studies with 3-5 years professional experience in embedded software & electronic hardware development
    • Expert knowledge of ISO26262
    • Very good knowledge of Automotive SPICE
    • Safety skills: understand the safety processes, is able to understand the content of the safety
    • work product, to support the scheduling of the activities, and to challenge the teams
    • Quality mindset (QMS like ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, or equivalent)
    • Auditor techniques
      
      Qualifications:
      Education and Experience
      • Engineer studies with 3-5 years professional experience in embedded software & electronic hardware development
