  Your Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts mechanical design engineering activities required to develop competitive products.
    
  • Develops the structure of the mechanical system from the architecture and considers the measures from the risk analysis in the construction.
    
  • Breaks down structures into subsystems and components and creates a detailed product specification.
    
  • Checks whether existing subsystems and components can be reused.
    
  • Perform/lead simulation efforts of the systems or components (such as Tolerance analysis, strength simulation, etc).
    
  • Work closely with the CAD and FEA responsible persons within the group as well as engineers in other departments. This includes Development, Testing, Sales, Program Management and Production. The engineer will also at times interact with customers and engineers from other Schaeffler facilities.--
    Your Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical preferred, but other engineering degrees or equivalent technical experience will be considered.
      
      
      Preferred Qualifications:
      
      
      • Automotive knowledge or background preferred
        
      • Experience in Chassis technologies, either steering, brake or suspension
        
      • Experience with--CAD modelling
