Maintenance Technician

Job Description Summary
The job scope is to ensure an effective working team, a safe working environment, quality product, and maintain continuous operation in accordance with customer orders in an efficient manner. This description provides a general outline of job responsibilities but is not limited to only the functions as detailed herein. This is a midnight shift position.

Job Description

• At least 2 years of Maintenance class A experience (or equivalent job experience)
• Understanding of electrical, plumbing and welding
• Operation and minor maintenance of a variety of hand and power tools
• Safety equipment and practices related to the work, including the handling of hazardous materials.
• Perform routine maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection and replacement parts
• Assist with MRO and supply items
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Understanding of Hydraulics.
• Use of 5S and general area clean-up
• Operating knowledge of Plex
• Testing, operation, and repair of wastewater system.
  
  Required Skills and Education
  
  Specific Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  
  Understanding of the manufacturing process, daily operations, material handling, quality criteria, safety issues, ISO 14001 and troubleshooting ability. Specific job responsibilities and knowledge as noted in job duties (above).
  
  Qualification Requirements:
  
  Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, modification and repair activities and performs related work as required. Must be able to work from heights up to 60 feet.
  
  Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED required.
  
  Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to stand for 8-12 hours.
  
  Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 5-50 pounds.
  
  Safety:
  
  Must adhere to all safety requirements.
  
  Behavior:
  
  Attention to detail, a productive attitude, and willingness to take the extra steps needed to ensure the job is done right and safely.
