Job Summary:

A qualified individual for this position would develop and optimize the electrode process to improve quality/productivity and sustainability of EV battery production through high level of technical knowledge. This position requires defect reduction activity; critical thinking; assessing and executing improvement action item through product analysis; and managing short/long term project. Candidates will have chances to work cooperatively with HQ/customer/supplier/vendor. This position is based in Troy, MI and will require domestic and international travels.

Responsibilities

• Developing strategies, procedures, and methods for production/ equipment maintenance
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and responding to equipment failures troubleshooting breakdown issues
• Working with specialized equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), which are used to control machinery on assembly lines in factories.
• Maintaining records of costs, incidents, and procedures associated with maintenance and repair.
• Developing resource-saving maintenance strategies.
• Collaborating with a variety of maintenance stakeholders to ensure that equipment is operating at peak performance.
• Communicate effectively with multi-levels of executives and team members. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Material Science also considered.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and effective communication.
  • Willing to learn in fast paced environment in diverse global manufacturing and corporate setting.
  • Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Willing to travel 60% domestically. Experience
    • Experience with robotic manufacturing equipment is a plus, but not required.
    • Experience with or knowledge of large production lines, PFMEAs, and process controls helpful but not required.
    • Knowledge of Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Bottleneck Analysis helpful
    • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
