Apply today to create new possibilities.Job Flexibility-- --- -- --Hybrid Position: The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work-based business needs.--Overview--The primary responsibility is to design, develop, test, apply and release to production, axle and suspension products for trailer systems, inclusive of plant and customer support. This person will interface with customers, suppliers, test labs, production manufacturing facilities, and several internal cross-functional engineering groups (procurement, program management, brakes, vehicle dynamics, analytical mechanics, experimental mechanics, materials, etc.).Job Responsibilities-- ---Perform engineering analysis necessary for the product design and development, application, and testing of axle/suspension components and systems. This will include the use of CAD (Creo Parametric) and FEA (Creo Simulate and/or Ansys Workbench).---Manage all aspects of engineering products according to customer requirements with focus on coordinating project timing, costs, test plans and prototype builds, following Meritor product development and Design Review process.---Work with designers to release detailed drawing packages and documentation to support the products.---Provide guidance and mentoring for less experienced engineering staff.---Identify, verify, and implement solutions to warranty or quality problems that affect product performance.---Establish good working relationships with team members, outside suppliers, customers, and various internal groups.
