Job Description Job Description Summary : The Toyoda Gosei Group
is a leading global manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive
components, safety systems and LEDs. Globally Headquartered in
Japan with a network of 67 group companies in 17 countries and
regions, the Group brings its extensive range of products to
customers all over the world. Toyoda Gosei North America (located
in Troy, MI) has an opening for an Engineering Summer Intern . The
Engineering Intern will assist the engineering lead with the
development of a new functional component for the domestic
automotive market Primary Duties and Responsibilities : • Support
engineering team with research and development of New Energy
Vehicle components • Support engineering team with the creation of
design concepts of parts, ensuring they package within the vehicle
environment • Assist with the design of components and/or test
fixtures with the use of CATIA V5 CAD software • Lead the testing
of part samples and develop reports for engineering leadership •
Work with engineering team to create and update APQP, DRBFM, DFMEA,
and P-diagram documents Qualifications and Competencies : • Minimum
of 2 years’ undergraduate studies completed • Coursework towards a
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering • Highly proficient in
Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
Outlook) • Excellent organization and communication skills required
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented • Strong desire to learn
all aspects of automotive design • CATIA V5 design experience is
preferred
