Job DescriptionThe Active Safety Global Key Account Manager (GKAM), is a new leadership role in the Global Safety Business Unit, responsible for developing and executing our sales strategy (long-range and annual) that will meet or exceed the organic growth business goals. The position will report into the Global Business Unit Manager for Safety. Supporting this role will be a direct sales support team who will oversee the quotation, coordination and launch of new and existing products, projects and applications. The Active Safety GKAM will also collaborate closely with our Global Innovation Team, together who will develop new solutions to support the accelerated growth strategy.Key Responsibilities & Deliverables* Work closely with Global Business Unit Manager and Global Innovation Director to develop a global strategy for Active Safety product growth through portfolio analysis (penetration $/car by OEM), collection and analysis of customer wants and needs, market trends, competitive positions and participation in Division strategic planning (AP, LRP)* Drive sales strategy execution through development of a high energy, high-performing cross-functional team and a disciplined, methodical sales process that will meet or exceed annual sales goals* Develop current and new customer base by nurturing customer relationships, providing technical solutions and ensuring a highest level of customer intimacy.* Partner with Global Innovation Team in regular customer pain point Discovery phase and validating new concepts for Create phase for new customer back innovation opportunities.* Understand and guide team in effectively communicating our value proposition(s).* Responsible for leading cross-functional program launch teams to manage and fulfill all launch related targets on time and under budget and fulfilling any engineering changes required by Customer or Internal manufacturing for any current production program.* Strong financial acumen, negotiating skills and contract management experience to drive ensuring business profitability targets are met amongst many internal and external stakeholders. * Demonstrates a sound 80/20 mindset in Sales Strategy, Customer communication and Sales approach and support operations continuous improvement initiatives as required.* Embodies ITW Great Leader characteristics and is a champion for fostering a diverse & inclusive high-performing workplace culture. Qualifications* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Engineering or other technical field and experience in related positions.* 7+ years of sales experience, which must include strong knowledge of the automotive industry and the installation and implementation of Active Safety system sensors within the vehicle, or in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), or have established networks within Active Safety sensor integrators, system suppliers and ADAS experts and decision makers inside and outside of automotive OEMs.* 2+ years of sales leadership experience* Understanding of plastic injection molding is a plus. * Strong financial abilities including working knowledge of budgeting, sales and business development tools and relate computer software skills.* Good technical & mchanical aptitude, which lend themselves to an ability to conduct customer conversations at various levels around products and applications being pursued.* A high energy, team player with demonstrated ability to build a high performing team and collaborative cross-functional relationships and motivate others to excel.* Excellent communication skills and ability to build consensus and gain internal alignment across different stakeholder groups - cross functional team and Division leadership. * Adept at analyzing facts and issues, identify options and decide/ recommend a course of action. * Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and change.* Customer Relationship Building skills to be a trusted advisor* Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a strategic, forward-thinking approach to business growth* Sound 80/20 mindset, understanding and demonstrated experience. * Ability to travel up to 40%Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Position may require travel (up to 40%).
