Job Title: Operations Manager
Department: Operations / Senior Management
Reports To: President
Location: Troy, MI
FLSA Status: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by
working with the CEO, President, and other management to establish
long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. Responsible for
providing daily management of the inside operations of the company.
This includes the Customer Care Center, warehouse operations and
shipping/receiving, purchasing and inventory, quality management,
and safety.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
---Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and
programs as a strategic partner with the President and other
members of the management team.
---Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning,
introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
---Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and
procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve
the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
---Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the
company.
---Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education
of department managers on financial issues impacting their
budgets.
---Evaluation of the company structure and team plan for continual
improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as
well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth
with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.
---Management of customer service, warehouse operations,
purchasing, inventory control, quality management and safety.
---Development of practices, policies and procedures to assure
consistent customer experiences.
---Direction of company quality policy and practices.
---Management of company facilities including maintenance and
efficient utilization.
---Responsible for employee development and training of operational
employees.
---Assurance of timely delivery of all customer orders.
---Management of company inventories and reporting for maximum
efficiency and accuracy.
---Streamline and optimize business cycle processes.
---Manages operational costs effectively.
---Development and maintenance of company operating metrics.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual

contracts. A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture"
perspective and is well versed in systems. SAGE100 experience
preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Ten to fifteen years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are

units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw
and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the
individual is usually exposed to an enclosed office environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
