Job Description:

TITLE: Manager, Embedded SW Architecture DUTIES: Meritor Electric Vehicles, LLC seeks a Manager, Embedded SW Architecture in Troy, Michigan. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel. Lead and manage the team to effectively perform engineering analysis necessary for the production design, application and testing of prototype and production system by developing system architecture for Electric vehicles to meet customer requirements; establish scalable architecture with defined boundaries so as to allow multiple customer applications; conduct Requirements analysis decompose to create detailed requirements for SW implementation; maintain requirements traceability to, DFMEA, DVP, provide input into validation testing and approve test reports; enable the team in development of FuSa work products such HARA, FSC, FSR, TSR, HSR and SSR; support development of plant models and architecture for HIL; develop ICD for external suppliers as well as customers to let them interact with the complex Mechatronics systems. Establish good working relationships with team members, outside suppliers, customers and various internal groups, support tech reviews; approve work products such as SW requirements, implementation and Test reports (MIL, HIL, Static and Vehicle); represent Meritor at professional engineering events and organizations such as SAE J 1939, J 3068 (CharIN), IEEE or similar; actively work and file for IP disclosures and patents; provide leadership and mentoring for less experienced engineering staff; develop cost estimates and track department expenses according to budget; support sales and product management teams efforts to attract profitable new business awards; develop the team by actively training and recruiting the right individuals, manage and track team performance.
