This will involve bathing, grooming, restroom assistance, and ensuring adequate nutrition, as well as assistance with ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises.--Specific duties for this Caregiver role include:--
  • Assisting in home activities of daily living such as shopping, meal preparation, socialization activities, homemaking and medication reminders
  • Recording vital signs
  • Providing routine individualized health care needs
  • Monitoring or reporting changes in health status
  • Documenting observations, activities and service provided in an accurate, complete and timely manner
  • Completing additional assignments as requested--Caregiver Job Qualifications:We are seeking caring and compassionate people to provide the best home care with the knowledge and the skills necessary to manage our clients' care in a competent manner. It is important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively on an individual basis with minimal supervision.--Specific qualifications for this Caregiver role include:--
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Prior experience caring for seniors &ndash professional or family caregiving
    • Current driver's license, dependable vehicle and current auto insurance
    • Willingness to submit to and pass Criminal background check and drug screen testPhysical requirements include:Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 25 lbs.Repeated or prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, etc.Agility and strength sufficient to handle clients and equipment without assistanceAbility to appropriately respond physically and psychologically to emergency situations in the home or during transportAbility to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other health conditions--Each Home Instead franchise is independently owned and operated.
