FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation is seeking a part time board-certified music therapist to join their interdisciplinary team beginning effective immediately. Primary job responsibilities include providing private and small group therapy services both on-site and at various contracted agencies and schools, including Community Mental Health Child Medicaid Waiver Program the child Medicaid waiver program, to individuals with special needs. Candidates should have experience working with the special needs community, including those with physical, cognitive, communicative, behavioral and mental health challenges. Additional responsibilities include creative input for special fundraising events and participation in agency performances.Some evening hours are required for these positions.FAR is a community based, non-profit organization dedicated to providing a wide variety of therapeutic services for over 70 years in the greater Detroit area. Servicing Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties, the interdisciplinary team consists of art, music, dance/movement, and recreation therapists.
