Provide support to New Americans programs across the state in
the areas of quality assurance, training and program compliance
with program service objectives, organizational quality, audits and
integrity initiatives of Samaritas. Reviews and analyzes program
documentation to ensure compliance with contractual regulations and
agency quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide ongoing review of program case files and documents for
New American programs across the state.
Establish new case files through data entry into program
Analyze and report case documentation strength and weakness
trends and make recommendations to supervisors and managers.
Conduct documentation audits on a regular basis; develop and
monitor plans of correction resulting from this process, in
coordination with the program leadership and in collaboration with
the Quality division.
Provide annual audits with data entry, cross referencing service
documentation in multiple information systems, and electronic
submission of case files to contractors.
Communicate with and respond to issues or matters raised by
staff related to quality, compliance, and continuous quality
Supports Center Administrator and other appropriate staff in
monitoring Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI)
initiatives; support satisfaction survey distribution and record
results; share outcomes and trends with program leadership.
Provides outcome measurements and evaluation activities as part
of the Samaritas Performance Management Plan (PMP).
All other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
Bachelor’s degree required, in social or human services related
One year of experience in a social services or related field
Two years of experience in a quality analyst role preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define
problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions; ability to respond with appropriate corrective action
Ability to apply practical mathematical applications such as
percentages, ratio, proportion and algebra.
Ability to design graphical representations of data and
Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply quality improvement
methods and metric based indicators.
Ability to perform detailed processes accurately.
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to
prepare business letters, expositions, summaries and reports, using
prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation,
grammar, diction and style.
Ability to understand, analyze and interpret financial
Ability to communicate expectations clearly and to effectively
utilize a teamwork approach with staff at all levels.
Excellent skills in using Microsoft software applications and
other relevant technology.
Additional Work Requirements
Ability to work extended work hours.
Automobile travel required. Valid unrestricted driver’s license
with good driving record. Valid proof of automobile insurance
Ability to travel to program locations.
Sits at work station for extended periods with continual
Near visual acuity to see video display terminals.
Hand and finger dexterity for key board use.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to move freely about the office.
Ability to stoop, bend and lift arms over head.
