Job Description:

The VP, New Business Sales is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined strategy to drive new business growth to achieve the organization's objectives for sales, profitability, and visibility in order to maintain and improve HAP's competitive position.

The VPNBS reports to the Chief Sales and Marketing officer.


* Accountable to meet or exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives. * Collaborates and communicates at all levels of the organization to meet corporate goals. * Understands the current and emerging trends to ensure that the organization's offerings are meeting prospective customer's needs. * Identifies key strategic targets for the organization based on organizational fit, resource availability, capacity and marketing considerations. * Provides market and customer strategy updates to key stakeholders, as appropriate. * Leads learning and development initiatives impacting New Business sales and provides stewardship of the teams' talent. * Provides leadership to the New Business sales team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior. * Supports the achievement of strategic objectives critical to other functional areas within the organization. * Other duties as assigned.


* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field. * Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of 15 years of progressive industry leadership experience required; with at least 10 years of direct management experience, including demonstrated success leading and motivating teams as well as managing cross-functional teams. * Previous experience in healthcare or distribution expected; previous additional experience with commercial (non-healthcare) markets a plus. * Government contracting knowledge or experience is also highly desired. * Proven leader with demonstrated experience in building teams. * Successful sales and promotional record. * Proven knowledge of industry's products and services; exhibits awareness of best sales practices and methods. * Working knowledge of implementing and executing successful marketing campaigns. * Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques. * Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion. * Financially astute and able to create ROI. * Capable of conducting independent research. * Exhibits strong interpersonal, negotiation and customer service skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and present comprehensive reports. * Ability to function well in a high-paced, competitive and at times stressful environment. * Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
