In this role, you will be responsible for data entry, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent position located in the Troy, Michigan area.What you get to do every day- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources- Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing- Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers- Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit- Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes- Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required Requirements - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)- Account analysis experience- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel- Accounts Payable (AP) experience- Solid understanding of numeric data entry- Ability to multitask effectively- 2+ years of relevant experience- experience in in Spreadsheet and ERP system Robert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
