Venteon Finance is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to provide support in Sterling Heights, MI. You will assist in Accounting for an Automotive Supplier. The position is open due to company growth. POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Direct Hire. Onsite. PAY: $40,000 to $50,000 annual salary plus benefits package. Requirements of the Accounts Payable Clerk 2 to 4 or more years' hands-on work experience in Accounts Payable required. Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting desired. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel and QuickBooks desired. Ability to interface positively with coworkers and vendors to create effective working relationships. Go getter who wants to grow with a company. Ability to pass a background check. Duties of the Accounts Payable Clerk Provide direct support to current Senior Accounts Payable resource. Maintain and verify accuracy of accounts payable including obtaining and matching appropriate records with each invoice. This includes high volume reconciliation of billed contract worker hours against the internal system. Ensure that all invoices are properly approved. Prepare and review all checks, EFT, and wire disbursements. Manage the AP aging to keep vendors paid in a timely manner. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies. Research and verify invoice records with employees and vendors when discrepancies arise. Identify discount opportunities and stop-payment orders as needed. Assist with month end closing accounting activities. Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested records.
