• Develops and maintains relationships with key substation industry technology leaders.
• Works independently and with teams to develop business and technology solutions for current and future client needs.
• Stays up to date on technology development within the industry through investigations, evaluations, conferences, and relationships with clients, peers, industry entities, national labs, technology developers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
• Supports marketing and sales efforts as an industry-facing technical expert by developing Black & Veatch brand awareness through thought leadership activities (industry-wide conferences, presentations, papers, webinars, etc.)
• Supports services and EPC proposal processes as an advisor by providing technology risk assessments and mitigation andperformance-based equipment procurement options analysis.Management ResponsibilitiesActs as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior substation protection R&D experience and/or standards development experience.
  • Experience executing internal and/or external projects.
  • Ability to develop and guide Black & Veatch professionals across the global organization.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
