Job description :
- Lead all continuous SW Release activities for internal Cadence
and customer milestones
- Procure Part numbers for builds and maintain release plan and
ensure releases happen as planned
- Assist Release manager with any blockers related to SW
releases, manufacturing line, systemic issues, process issues,
customer issues, plant issues
- Drive any issues to closure that are affecting customer or
internal releases
- Device Branching strategy and release versioning updates as
needed
- Drive feature integration and sprint check-ins by setting
sprint deadlines
- Ensure the process is followed on Merge gate and direct fails
w.r.t Coverity/ compiler warnings with a process
- Analyze Coverity and Compiler warnings at End of Sprint and
drive Scrum teams towards resolution
- Attend/ Drive Problem Ticket CCB for initial triage of everyday
Problem JIRAs on M/T/F
- Assist in producing the "CVVR report" delivered to customer as
a part of milestone release, author Programming rules
report
- Assist architectural and design decisions on the Product
SW
- Review Product SW changes through Change control board
Review
- Approve SWIT for manufacturing ready Data files (parts) and
MPI, participating in a review
- Train teams for different aspects of the project where ever
necessary
- Drive any failures related to build/ smoke test/ integration
tests to resolution
- Assist any HIL system bench discrepancies and test steps &
design
- Work on HIL when needed to procure CPU load, Timing traces
using Power Debugger, systemic verification, Feature verification,
Test package verification, etc.
- Define pre -release check list, Release flow and handoff
between SW -SYS -IT&V- VTV - MFG
- Lead any updates to CI/ CD system without any outages to the
project releases
- Support and drive bringing in Automation into release process
for Smoke Test/ Integration tests/ build environment/ systems
checkout/ qualification tests/ Unit tests
- Plan SIP integration/ MCAL changes and any other massive
changes to the Product software to avoid blockages to Development
work
- Monitor Program backlog whenever needed
- Act as backup for SW release managers, Project owners, Program
owners as requested
- Lead technical and project delivery discussions with customer
whenever needed.
- Assist with debugging
- Support peer review of work products like process design and
strategy documents, Release documents, integration tasks, planning
and SW delivery schedules etc.
- Work on initial Board Bring-up activities working with
respective scrum teams
- Work with Product Owners/ Scrum masters/ System leads/ SW
Engineers/ Build manager/ HW/ EE/ MFG/ IT&V/ and program team
on a daily basis to achieve project goals
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree in Electronics or Computer Science (MSc
preferred).
- Good communication skills (both spoken and written).
- Knowledge in electronics and automotive applications.
- Professional experience in software development
process.
