Our team of programmers, designers, and creators design websites, build apps, and moreall from the comfort of our innovative open-office space located in a decommissioned bowling alley. (Score!) - Were looking for a backend web developer to join our team. As a backend developer, you will develop, maintain and deploy applications using Node.js. You will have opportunities to use the newest technologies and techniques to develop applications for a diverse array of clients. No degree required! But most importantly, we are looking for passionate developers that are eager to grow. If you want to expand your skills in a multitude of areas, if you work well on a team, and enjoy building projects from start to finish, then this is the role for you. Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop code to meet project requirements
• Completes all tasks as assigned before the designated deadline
• Update tickets in JIRA
• Complete self guided learning activities and improve skills
• Participate in code reviews, stand ups, and kickoff meetings
• Follow company coding standards utilizing the required stack
• Work directly with Frontend Developers to build and update APIs
• Assist with planning out projects and requirements from a backend perspective
• Work closely with project leadership to complete projects What you need to succeed

  • Strong time management skills Required Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of experience with Node.js
    • 3-5 years of experience with Express.js
    • 3-5 years of experience with Git (Bitbucket or Github)
    • 3+ years of experience with Relational Databases
    • 1+ years of experience with AWS cloud technologies, including: S3, Lambda, SQS, EC2, and Elastic Beanstalk Preferred Experience
      • Experience with an ORM like Sequelize
      • experience with Project Management Software (JIRA, Trello, Asana, etc.)
      • Experience with MySQL databases
      • Experience with frontend technologies, including Vue.js, HTML, CSS
      • Experience with Docker
      • Experience with Sendgrid and or Twilio
      • Experience with SCRUM development environments
      • Experience working in a fast-paced, agency environment How performance will be measured
        • Matching or surpassing the Bar in the People Analyzer assessment for core values and the GWC
        • Demonstrated understanding and following of the project processes
        • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
        • Demonstrated improvement of required qualifications
