Job Description:

Nesco Resource is seeking Machine Operators for an industry-leading manufacturer in Troy.Shift: 1st Shift 6:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Thursday (overtime as production demands)Pay: $15 per hour, with 50 cent increase after 90 daysPerks:

  • Operate machine to cut, shape, weld, and bend metal material
    • Observe the machine to detect malfunction
    • Position, adjust, and secure work piece manually or using a hoist
    • Align layout marks with die or blade
    • Extract jammed pieces from machine
    • Set machine stops to specified length
    • Perform minor machine maintenance as needed
    • Follow job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
    • Inspect workpiece for defects and to ensure quality standards are met
    • Measure workpiece using gage, caliper, micrometer, or other instrument to determine machine accuracy
    • Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece using file, hand grinder, wire brush, or power tools
    • Complete daily paperwork
    • Maintain clean and organized machine and work area
    • Communicate with other operators, other departments, and team leaders as needed
    • Assist with training new operators
    • Adhere to all company safety standards, policies and procedures.Qualifications:
      • Manufacturing experience helpful but not required
      • Basic math skills
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Ability to lift up to 25lbs continuously
      • Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas
      • Ability to stand for duration of shift (10 hours)
