• Largest home-based primary care practice in the US for over 28 years, making a huge impact in healthcare today!Position DescriptionThe System Engineer, Servers--is responsible for the install, manage and operations of the server, storage and virtualization environment, and all necessary applications. This person will provide the crucial technical expertise to support the company's business objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities--
  • Responsible for all Windows, Linux, load balancer and AIX Servers
  • Responsible for install, manage, and support DNS, DHCP, Exchange, Lync, Active Directory
  • Provide and maintain a solid infrastructure for all mission critical applications
  • Manage, maintain, and support the SAN, storage and backups environments
  • Support VMWare Virtual Server environment with - 200 servers in two data centers
  • Support VDI (Horizon View) environment with PCoIP
  • Implement and administer proactive measures (maintain backups, antivirus, daily system checks, logs, alerts, etc.)
  • Manage all the automation efforts for all processes, application and technologies
  • Efficiently collaborate with all other technical teams and business units to resolve all issues and provide solid resolutions to tickets in timely manner
  • Escalate, as appropriate, to management or other teams any incident needing additional resources or management awareness, maintaining ownership of the issue
  • Develop and maintain formalized documentation on all aspects of systems maintained
  • Efficiently manage and run IT infrastructure projects from requirements gathering, building and documenting
  • Build, manage and improve necessary processes to achieve expected performance and uptime
  • Work with business partners to build, maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Maintain a solid understanding of emerging technology in all areas responsible for
  • Build and manage relationship with outside vendors to support their products that we utilize
  • Work with various groups in the organization to develop and implement IT and business projects as required
  • Collaborate with cyber security team, implement and maintain appropriate security practices for all managed technologies
  • Mentor and train all support engineers in all technological aspects that is needed
  • Will participate in rotating 24x7 on-call rotation with a 30 minute response time
  • Being available when needed for after-hours/weekend maintenance, support and projectsRequired--Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related fields or equivalent experience as outlined below
    • 2+ years' experience in Microsoft Server & Client environment working with some of the following: M365, AWS, Azure, Load Balancers, Scripting, Routing/Switching and/or Firewalls
    • Experience designing and implementing virtualization technologies/VDI experience with VMware, HyperV, Citrix or other
    • Experience with Infrastructure/Networking of servers, workstation, mobile devices, printers, Active Directory, GPO & Security Groups
    • Experience managing/administrating with SAN Server/Virtual Server Storage
    • Experience in vulnerability management, patching technologies & Database Management (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc---) experience
    • Working in a team environment, doing whatever it takes to get the job done, and demonstrated improvement in personal and team performance with customer service focus
    • Team-oriented, good at sharing and asking for help when needed
    • Self -motivating, needs to be able to stay on task and work diligently without constant supervision
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies driven by customer projectsPreferred--Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
      • Microsoft and/or VMWare certifications
      • Experience in SharePoint, PowerShell, and SCCM
