Position Title:Network Operations Technician (T3)Company

-$100B.RoleResponsible for supporting and maintaining Crown Castle
Networks. Year-round objectives to include, first response to
outages and impairments, along with making the needed repairs to
the assigned networks. Annual Preventative Maintenance inspections
to network and host related equipment. Various computer related
administrative tasks, i.e uploading photos and documents, using GUI
pages along with many web-based tools. Safe work practices must be
applied to the completion of all work related tasks, along with
integrity, quality and attention to details.ResponsibilitiesPerform
all activities in a manner to ensure the safety of yourself, your
team, your customers and the public.Participate in on-call rotation
schedule for nights and weekends.Install, Turn-up, Test and
Provision SONET, WDM and Ethernet equipment in an optical fiber
network adhering to engineered design.Respond to all network
outages, impairments and emergencies related to Crown Castle
networks.Perform advanced analysis and troubleshooting of problems
/ issues while assisting the NOC/customer.Complete all annual
preventative maintenance inspections thoroughly and accurately, to
Crown Castle standards.Label and tag all equipment and cabling
according to Network Engineering Diagrams.Operation and
understanding of fiber related test equipment, such as , , OTDR,
Fusion splicer, Optic power meter, DMM, PMD, Optical Spectrum
Analyzer, BERT/RFC Test Sets.Operate PC or similar devices to gain
access to Crown Castle networks and complete assigned
administrative tasks.Perform both hardware and software updates
and/or changes to remote site equipment as necessary.Work
efficiently and effectively with cross functional departments,
peers, and customers.Interface with customers and carriers in
support of service delivery and assurance.Work independently for
extended periods of time.First line acceptance of all new and
modified networks using the Network Handoff
Process.Education/Certifications/LicensureHigh School Degree or
equivalent requiredAssociates degree, two-year technical degree or
equivalent military/special electronics training experience
strongly preferredA valid state driver's license requiredCCNA
Certification (or equivalent) a plusTwo (2) or more years of
experience in one or more of the following fields: SONET networks
and hardware, WDM networks and hardware, Ethernet -
10/100/1000BaseT networks and hardware wireless communications,
outside plant fiber optic installations, repair, testing and
troubleshootingOperating variety of telecommunications test
equipmentOther Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of radio transmitters,
receivers, antennas, electronic theory, fiber optic theoryAbility
to work closely with and provide guidance to vendors both on-site
and remotelyAbility to analyze and understand PIM/Sweep test
dataAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear
and concise mannerSkilled in trouble ticket or work order

Conditions: Works in the Public right of way, exposure to extreme
weather, radio frequency, general public. Physical demands of
lifting up to 75 pounds, stooping, and climbing ladders. Available
to work after hours on projects, weekends, Holidays and On-Call
Duty as conditions require. May be required to travel and be away
from home location, for extended periods of time.Additional
